St.Mark's East Kilbride congregation was formed in 1953 from funds from the closure of St. Mark's, Scotland Street, Kinning Park, Glasgow and worshipped in a school until 1956 when the foundation stone was laid. Pictures of the occasion can be seen below. In the following year the church was consecrated ready for use. Later wooden halls were added. They were replaced in 2007. And the interior of the church had a make-over in 2017 with new chairs, carpets and a revarnished floor. The Meeting room has been converted into the new kitchen making it possible to establish a cafe in the Foyer.
